Kind way of releasing awful information

The Christchurch Press should be applauded for the thoughful way they have chosen to publish the name`s of those who died during the quake. Sometimes during disasters the media takes the opportunity to publish photos, names and details of victims on the front page. Surely this does nothing to help the families and friends of those who have died, but does wonders for sales targets.

Instead The Press has tactfully decided to have a small collumn on page 3 untitled "Those we have lost". The Editor has made a great decision and has shown wonderful consideration for the people left behind in grief.
