Living life around the quakes
Has anyone else noticed that they have changed the way they live due to the quakes? I catch myself walking faster under street awnings....particularly in the inner city. Or I worry about how far away I am from my son. If there was another big quake, could I get to him in time? It seems silly because there may never be another big one in Christchurch in my lifetime, however some days I find myself doing things just n case. I've blu-tacked our ornaments to the shelves. I always make sure the cupboards are closed so things won't fall out. I make sure the floors are tidy so there's always an escape route to the doors....especially at night. Surely I can't be the only one doing this?
